UPSC CMS 2025 Notification :

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2025, inviting applications from eligible candidates for various medical officer positions across central government departments.

Important Dates:

  • Notification Release Date: February 19, 2025
  • Application Start Date: February 19, 2025
  • Application End Date: March 11, 2025, till 6:00 PM
  • Examination Date: July 20, 2025

Category-II: Other Medical Officer Posts

  2. General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) in New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) – 09 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:

Candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be below 32 years of age as of August 1, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have passed the written and practical parts of the final MBBS examination. Those appearing for the final MBBS examination are also eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of passing the examination at the time of the personality test.

Application Fee:

  • General/OBC/EWS Candidates: ₹200
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Female Candidates: Exempted

How to Apply:

Candidates are required to apply online through the official UPSC application portal. It is essential to register on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform before proceeding with the online application. Detailed instructions regarding the application process are provided in the official notification.

Selection Process:

The selection process comprises two stages:

1. Written Examination:

Consists of two objective-type papers, each carrying 250 marks and lasting two hours.

  • Paper I: General Medicine and Pediatrics
  • Paper II: Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, and Preventive & Social Medicine

2. Personality Test:

Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for a Personality Test carrying 100 marks.
