- The option to edit OTR profile details is available for 7 days after the closing date of the application window of the first final application for any UPSC exam.

What to fill in post office field:
- The post office name should correspond to the PIN code you entered.
- You can check your post office on the India Post website (https://www.indiapost.gov.in) by entering your PIN code.
- Example: If your PIN code is 110001 (New Delhi), the post office might be Connaught Place Post Office.
- If your PIN code is 302017 (Jaipur, Rajasthan), the post office could be Malviya Nagar PO.
- The post office should match the one in your Aadhaar card, voter ID, or official documents.
“Do you want to make your personal information available for accessing job opportunities as per DoP&T’s O.M. No. 39020/1/2016-Estt.(B) dated 21.06.2016 & 19.07.2017 :
- Select “Yes” if you are interested in making your personal details accessible for job opportunities as per the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T) guidelines.
- Select “No” if you do not want your personal information to be shared for this purpose.
- It is totally your personal choice and does not affect the acceptance of your application form

UPSC CMS 2025 – Important Certificate Requirements
1. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen Certificate
- Must be issued on or before 11th March 2025 (Closing Date of Application).
2. EWS Category – Income & Asset Certificate
- Must be issued on or after 1st April 2024, based on income for Financial Year 2023-24 (1st April 2023 – 31st March 2024).
- Certificates based on any other financial year will be invalid.
- Must follow Central Government criteria for income and assets.
- Last date for submission: 11th March 2025.
3. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate
- Must be based on income for Financial Years:
- 2023-24
- 2022-23
- 2021-22
- Must be issued on or after 1st April 2024 (after completion of FY 2023-24).
- Deadline for submission: 11th March 2025.
- The caste name (including spelling) must exactly match the one published in the Central Government list.
- Any variation in the caste name will not be accepted.
Note:
Once a candidate has selected their category in the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) application form, they cannot change it later.
- If a candidate initially marks Unreserved (UR) in the application and later requests to change to a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), this request will not be accepted.
- No Interchange Between Reserved Categories: Once a candidate has chosen a reserved category, they cannot switch between reserved categories.
For example:
- SC to ST or ST to SC is not allowed.
- OBC to SC/ST or SC/ST to OBC is not allowed.
- SC/ST/OBC to EWS or EWS to any other reserved category is also not permitted.

7. Photo upload Doubts:
Name & Date: Must be written at the bottom of the photograph (Can use Microsoft Paint/Any photo editing software , not Recommended by pen/pencil).
Can I hold a slate with your name and date written on it while clicking the photo? – No information mention regarding this in CMS Notice.
Make sure:
✔ The text is clearly visible and not overlapping with your face.
✔ Use a simple font like Arial or Times New Roman.

Date Of written and practical part Of final MBBS Exam :
In my opinion, you can enter the date of your final MBBS passing as mentioned on your marksheet, as no one remembers the exact exam date.
11. Choose cadre

Note:
- Think carefully before filling the order.
- Once you submit the application form, you cannot change your service preferences later. UPSC does not allow modifications to the preference order after final submission.
